Know Before You (Virtually) Go: A Guide for VMware Cloud on AWS at VMworld 2020
By Shreyak Shah, Sr. Business Development at AWS
We are heading back to VMworld, but this time it will be a little different.
VMworld 2020 will be a completely virtual global event running from September 29 to October 1. This digital event promises to be just as informative and engaging as previous years. There will be keynotes, sessions, hands-on labs, virtual booths, and more.
VMware Cloud on AWS is a jointly engineered service that brings VMware Cloud Foundation to Amazon Web Services (AWS), with optimized access to AWS services. As of June 2020, total virtual machines (VMs) are up 3.5x, and the total number of hosts up 2.5x year over year.
More than 500 channel partners have achieved a VMware Cloud on AWS service competency, including 43 with a Master Services Competency, and there are more than 300 certified or validated technology solutions available to VMware Cloud on AWS customers.

AWS Presence at VMworld 2020
Like previous years, our joint customers and partners have asked us to create a Know Before You Go Guide highlighting all of the activities happening at VMworld 2020 related to AWS.
Our virtual booth will have subject matter experts to discover the latest in VMware Cloud on AWS, databases, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), backup and disaster recovery, and more. We’ll answer any questions you may have, and if you’d like to schedule a meeting please email us at VMConAWS@amazon.com.
